VIQUIZZ is a website where an account is optional. This page says, in plain words, what happens to your data when you play — with or without one.

Who publishes this site

What we keep about you

If you play without an account: nothing on our side. Your scores, your day streak, your favourites and your choice of theme and language are written into your own browser, on your own device, and never leave it. Clearing your browsing data erases them for good.

The optional account

An account is never needed to play. If you create one, we keep: the player name you choose, your password (only as an irreversible fingerprint, never the password itself), a fingerprint of your recovery code, the date the account was created and last used, and your game progress (scores, day streak, favourites and achievements). We do not ask for your email or your real name. The account is only for people aged 13 or over. While you are signed in, the site sets one cookie that keeps you signed in; it is strictly necessary for the account to work and is used for nothing else. The data is kept on Cloudflare servers, which host this site, and stays until you delete the account: the account page has a button that deletes it straight away and for good, and another that downloads a copy of everything it keeps. We keep it because you asked for an account (it is needed to provide it). If you have lost both your password and your recovery code, write to hello@viquizz.com with your player name and we delete the account for you.

Advertising

When advertising is switched on, this site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to serve and measure those ads, and in some cases to personalise them. We never receive your name, your email or any way to identify you. You can review or change what Google uses at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google handles this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Consent

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you are asked for consent before any personalised advertising cookie is set. That request is handled by Google's own consent message, and your answer is stored in your browser. You can change it at any time from the link that message leaves on the page.

Measurement

If you accept it, this site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which quizzes are played, so we know what to write next. It is only switched on after you press Accept in the notice at the bottom of the page: until then no Google Analytics code is loaded and no cookie is set. Google receives your approximate location, your type of device and the pages you visit, never your name or your email, and Google signals and ad personalisation are switched off. You can change your answer at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. How Google uses this data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

Children

The quizzes are suitable for all ages, but the site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect anything from them.
